About this opportunity

The American Alpine Club is hiring a part-time contract editor to help its Editor-in-Chief plan, edit and produce the 2027 American Alpine Journal, plus its website and newsletter. The work covers editing expedition reports and longer articles, fact-checking, research, and preparing photos and captions. The club says the contract can be renewed with a wider scope and more pay. It suits a freelance editor who knows mountaineering history well.
