About this grant
Maastricht University and the Dutch government fund 18 full scholarships each year for highly talented students from outside the EU/EEA. First you apply to a participating full-time Master's programme for 2027/28, with the full application file submitted before 10 December 2026. Applicants whose diploma is from a non-EU/EEA curriculum pay a €100 handling fee for that application, which the university refunds once you start your studies. The scholarship application then runs from 1 October 2026 to 23:59 CET on 1 February 2027. The university says it is highly competitive: about 2% of applicants are awarded.
